Inspiration
This silk square is directly inspired by a work by artist Caroline Basuyau called The Prophet. It shows a beautiful female Orangutan moving through a lush rainforest. If at first glance, in this painting, this forest seems virgin, it is not so dense in the background, it shows a degraded forest, a sparse vegetation. The artist tries to denounce the hold of man on nature, the destruction of the primary forest for the benefit of more lucrative agricultural productions… We have extracted the vegetal elements of the initial work to reconstruct this elegant silk scarf 90 x 90 cm.
